Car flags are built for a specific failure mode: sustained airflow at speed. The sleeve is reinforced and the fly edge double-hemmed so the flag does not fray after a few journeys, and the clip is sized to hold on a partly-open window without marking the glass.
Double-sided construction is standard for this format because the flag is seen from both sides of the vehicle.
