Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shanghai Senior Flag Manufacture Co., Ltd. (“Senior Flags”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit seniorflags.com, send us an enquiry or request a quotation. We have written it with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR in mind, because many of our buyers are based in Europe and the United Kingdom.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is:

Shanghai Senior Flag Manufacture Co., Ltd.
Room 509-510, Hong Nan Investment Building, No. 939 Jinqiao Road, Shanghai, China
Email: sales@seniorflag.com

If you have any question about this policy or about your data, please email us at sales@seniorflag.com.

2. What data we collect

Data you give us

When you use the quote request form or the quick enquiry form on this website, we collect:

  • your name;
  • the name of the company you work for (optional);
  • your email address;
  • your phone or WhatsApp number (optional);
  • the content of your message, such as products, quantities, sizes, artwork status and delivery dates.

If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or send us artwork files, we also receive your contact details and anything you choose to include in those messages and files.

Data collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting server records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. These server logs are used to keep the website running and secure. Our form plugin is currently configured not to store your IP address with form submissions.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive data such as health information, and we do not collect payment card details on this website.

3. How we use your data and our legal bases

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation: reviewing your specifications and artwork, sending quotations, sample information and production timelines. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR / UK GDPR).
  • To manage orders and our business relationship if you become a customer, including production, shipping and after-sales support. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To follow up on your enquiry, for example if we have not received a reply to a quotation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). You can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To measure how the website is used, so that we can improve its pages and our replies to buyers (Google Analytics, see section 6). Legal basis: your consent where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland (Article 6(1)(a)); otherwise our legitimate interests in understanding and improving our website (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax record keeping. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

When you tick the consent box on our forms, you agree that we may contact you about your enquiry. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us; this does not affect contact that took place before you withdrew it. We will not add you to a marketing mailing list without your permission, and we do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share your data with

We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as far as needed:

  • Hostinger, which hosts this website, its database (including form submissions) and related server infrastructure.
  • Email service providers used to deliver form notifications and our email correspondence.
  • Google: our contact page includes an embedded Google Map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is sent to Google. Google may also set its own cookies when you interact with the map. The fonts used on this website are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts.
  • Google Analytics (Google), which measures how visitors use this website, as described in section 6.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us through a WhatsApp link. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
  • Shipping and logistics partners, if you place an order, so that goods and samples can be delivered.
  • Authorities or professional advisers, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items. Most are needed for the website to work and are set by WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor; one group is used for analytics. For example:

  • WordPress cookies, which are mainly used when someone logs in to the site administration, and a test cookie that checks whether your browser accepts cookies;
  • WooCommerce cookies (such as woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_) that remember your selections if you use the product catalogue features;
  • WooCommerce order attribution cookies (sbjs_ prefix) that record how you arrived at the site, such as the referring website. This information stays within our own WordPress system and is not sent to any third-party analytics service;
  • Elementor browser storage used to display page elements such as menus and pop-ups correctly;
  • cookies set by Google when the embedded map on our contact page is loaded;
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that tell visits apart so that we can count them, and a browser storage item (sf_consent) that remembers your cookie choice; see section 6.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work properly if you do.

6. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use this website. It records information such as the pages you view, the website or search engine that referred you, your approximate location (country or city), your device and browser type, and whether you submitted an enquiry form or clicked a WhatsApp, email or phone link. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We look at this information in aggregated reports and do not use it to identify individual visitors. Visits by our own logged-in staff are not counted.

If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Analytics does not set cookies unless you accept them in our cookie notice. Until you accept, Google may still receive limited signals without cookies, such as that a page was viewed, which it uses only in aggregated form. You can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings.

Google may process this data on servers outside the UK and the EEA. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy. You can block or delete Google Analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries and quotation correspondence that do not lead to an order: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so that we can answer follow-up questions and repeat requests.
  • Customer and order records: for as long as our business relationship continues and afterwards for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and commercial laws.
  • Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, normally not longer than needed for security and troubleshooting.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. International transfers

Senior Flags is based in China, so your enquiry will be read and processed by our team in China. Our hosting and email service providers may also process data in other countries. China is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the UK Government. When you send us an enquiry from the EEA or the UK, the transfer of your data to China is necessary to respond to your request and to take steps before entering into a contract with you (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR / UK GDPR). We protect your data as described in this policy, and we also handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, and in particular if you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including follow-up messages;
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • data portability, where processing is based on a contract or consent and carried out by automated means;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email sales@seniorflag.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the authority in your EU country of residence or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

10. Security

This website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to form submissions and email is limited to staff who need it to handle enquiries and orders, and our website administration accounts are password-protected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp or Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services, so please read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new website features or analytics tools. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
